X-TENSION 10 Evolution

The Xtension 10 is perfect for those who love the sound quality of the big Xtension but are looking for a device with rack-mountable widths of 48 cm. All our experience from more than 20 years of turntable construction can be found here again. The chassis of the Xtension 10 is made of metal granulate filled MDF, which allows high mass and low resonances. Magnetic feet ensure optimal decoupling of the 22 kg Xtension 10, which represents a perfect symbiosis of the principle of mass drive and subchassis.

The special turntable of the Xtension 10 Evolution is not, as in the Japanese classics, from resonance-susceptible metal, but a self-construction of a special metal casting alloy, which is glued to recycled vinyl plates and perfectly balanced after a heat treatment. The heavy dish is steamed inside with a Sorbothane® strip. The result is a heavy, completely non-resonant turntable that slides smoothly on a magnetically supported, inverted bearing made of ceramic.

The Pro-Ject 10cc evolution tonearm is decoupled from the chassis by Sorbothane and features a mass tonearm base that eliminates unwanted vibration and provides a smooth scan. The 10cc Evolution comes with 4 different counterweights, allowing it to fit almost any top pickup with a mass of 4 to 14 grams. The Xtension 10 Evolution features an elegant, handmade cover with adjustable hinges and is available in the following color options: Rosewood, Walnut, Olive, Mahogany, Piano Black, Red, White

XLR option

Pro-Ject Audio Systems delivers its high-end turntables as standard with 5pin> RCA premium tonearms, but also 5pin> XLR balanced premium tonearm cables on request. This ensures an optimal connection to the phono stage Pro-Ject Phono Box RS. The balanced connection provides superior vinyl reproduction with balanced sources.

NOTE : In order to benefit from the superior quality of balanced signal transmission, both devices to be connected must have balanced connections. Symmetric signal processing significantly reduces the effects of external interference.

Walnut and rosewood color options are available on request.

Magnetically assisted feet

Two Gleichpolige magnets in the feet let the turntable almost float. The pins in the feet serve only for centering. This unique feature optimally decouples the turntable from the ground.
