The 035 preamplifier combines warm and natural sound with simple and user-friendly operation. Its audiophile qualities owe much to its larger siblings in Burmester’s Reference and Top Line. The signal paths to the high-quality XLR outputs are balanced and short, which contributes to an excellent sonic signature with great attention to musical and dynamic detail.

The classic Burmester look of the 035 gave the product line its name: Classic Line. Technologies derived from the Top Line and Reference Line are applied here and permit an
abundance of features, high technologies, and sound quality hitherto unknown for this
range.

The 035 preamplifier combines trailblazing innovations with the design and the ergonomics of a preamplifier that will master all requirements of the future. The foremost development goal was to realize the musical features of the bigger brothers 011 and 808MK5,
which are viewed worldwide as the standard for all preamplifiers, in the 035 as well without
any compromises. The X-Amp amplification stages are taken from the 011. They operate
absolutely balanced in the Class A range and moreover are completely DC coupled.

The elaborate volume regulator is created by an R-2R network that has the same impedance at all volume levels and guarantees an extremely good synchronism down to the
lowest volumes, such as cannot be achieved by potentiometers. Encapsulated reed relays
with gold contacts realize this perfectly. Today‘s signal sources such as CD players require
an extremely quick signal processing. A power supply must meet these requirements at
all times and needs to be appropriately dimensioned. The special power supply of the
Pre Amp 035 is also never overtaxed even with dynamic music passages so that the warm
sound, rich in detail, is always retained.

The 035 enthuses right away after just a few beats: It brings together the warm, comforting
sound of the 011 and 808MK5 with easiest control and an aesthetic appearance. Tonally it
is unequaled.

The total architecture of the circuitry of the 035 accommodates the development to more
complex systems with home theater solutions. Thus a surround processor can simply be
connected by a surround loop. All functions of the 035 can be controlled through the optional BurmesterLink system if necessary. The 035 also provides a tone control that can be
switched off if necessary and a balance regulator is available as well. Much is also offered

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Pure Class A preamplifier based on Burmester X–Amp technology.
New Burlink with RS-232 and USB2.0 interfaces for easy integration in CrestronTM or AMX®
control systems. Furthermore there is the easy handling of software updates via these interfaces. Of course the 035 again features front-to-back balanced circuitry. It has
5 inputs: 3 balanced and 2 unbalanced. The 035 Pre Amp is, like all Burmester components,
completely DC coupled, i.e. it has no distorting capacitors in the signal path.
The assembly is discrete for all models, which means that they feature components that are
carefully selected and paired up with channel synchronism according to a special procedure. The outputs have been realized as op amps.

The tone and balance regulation can be bridged completely.
The input impedance can be adjusted in the range of +/- 6 dB for each input.
The output voltage can be increased by 6 dB in the setup menu
(for example when using output stages of other manufacturers).
The circuitry is laid out so that not only the theoretical shortest signal path can be achieved,
but also so that the wiring to the input and output sockets can be omitted.
A top-quality dot-matrix display provides a well-legible presentation of all operational conditions even from a greater distance.

The display can be, as with all late-model Burmester devices, be switched off or be dimmed
in three stages. The 035 can be integrated into a home theater system without effort. For this
an incoming signal can be looped through the 035 in surround mode.
Taken over completely from the 808MK5 was the uncompromising IR remote control. The
volume is realized by a passive R-2R network of precision resistors in connection with goldplated reed relays in 60 possible, logarithmically tuned levels. Only by this extreme investment can the desired 100% channel synchronism be realized. The source selection is also
realized by relays directly at the inputs.
The new metal remote control 067 or 005 is available at a surcharge
(but is included with our CD players).

In the 035 the optional phono module is located - just as in the predecessor 935 MK2 - on
the opposite side of the power supply in order to keep the hum pickup as low as possible.
Just as in the MC2 of the 808, the signal processing in the phono module of the 035 is absolutely balanced and completely DC coupled. The elaborate circuitry is discretely laid out.
Generously sized power supply: 50 VA transformer with overall 55,000 μF filtering
The volume with which the 035 ‚awakes‘ when switched on can be programmed.
Burmester output stages can be remotely controlled (on/off) by the 035.
